Wikipedia defines, “A music genre is a conventional category
that identifies pieces of music as belonging to a shared tradition or set of
conventions.” I personally never understood a music genre and never felt the
obligation to understand it either. I do
not know the process neither I care but experts say, “Music can be divided into
different genres in several ways.” I reply music is a free bird why cage it in
genres let go, let it fly. I utterly believe music is something that touches
the inner soul; a joyful song can make your day and sad song can make you cry.
Music even affects your personality. Something so beautiful and powerful can’t
be (mustn't be) divided in genres. Some birds aren't meant to be caged; their
feathers are just too bright. I've seen people debating which music genre’s the
greatest and defending their favorite one, I don’t know which is better but I
do know if you’re following only one(or two) genre(s) and ignoring others just
because you didn't like a couple of songs from that genre you’re missing out a
lot. Chances are you may have heard the worst songs from that genre and started
loathing it, but since you no longer follow that genre you’ll never get to
